Payment Methods and Insurance

  • We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Payment is due at the time of the visit. 
  • Assessment and therapy services are billed by the “session” (45-50 minute session) at the following rates:
    Dr. Doberman $175 (Does NOT accept insurance reimbursement)
    Dr. Mooney $175 (CDPHP and UBH accepted)
    Staff Psychologists $150 (Most insurances accepted)
    Staff Social Workers $125 (Most health insurances accepted)

Assessment and Short-Term Therapy at KPA are typically covered by most insurance carriers.

Coverage provided by each plan varies; there is typically a copay which the client must pay at the time of service, sometimes a yearly deductible. Our office staff will attempt to verify your insurance coverage before your first visit. Please note, however, that you, the client, are responsible for full payment should your insurance company not cover the services, so please double check your coverage beforehand and alert us if there are ever any changes in your coverage immediately.

Life Coaching is not reimbursed by health insurances companies, because, by definition, the client is not suffering from any emotional problems that need to be treated. The cost of coaching is set by the individual coach and depends on the frequency of services and whether you are meeting face to face or over the phone or internet.

A typical coaching package would be $350 pre-paid per month for four 30-minute phone consultations and two 10-minute spot coaching check-ups.

The Groups on Demand program has a set fee of $40 per session. Most major insurances are accepted for therapy groups. For more information, please call 518 456-5056 ext. 201
