Our Watertown Office
Karner Psychiatric Services opened its Watertown office in August 2026 to bring psychiatric care closer to home for Jefferson County and the Fort Drum community. Until now, the nearest TMS treatment was in Syracuse. Our Watertown office is the first to offer it in Jefferson County.
Services at Watertown
TMS Therapy. Transcranial magnetic stimulation is an FDA-cleared, non-medication treatment for depression that has not responded to antidepressants. Sessions are about 20 minutes, require no anesthesia, and patients drive themselves to and from treatment. Watertown uses BrainsWay Deep TMS.
Psychiatric Medication Management. Evaluation and ongoing medication management for adults, children, and adolescents, provided in person in Watertown.
Therapy and Counseling. Individual therapy with Karner's licensed New York therapists, available to Watertown patients by secure telehealth and in person care beginning early fall 2026.
Military Families
We are in-network with TRICARE and Martins Point, and we understand the schedules and transitions that come with life at Fort Drum. Our office administrator is a military spouse who lives on post. Additional insurance plans are being added; call us and we will verify your coverage before your first visit.

Dr. Brandy Baillargeon, DNP, FMHNP-BC was born and raised in the Northern New York area. After graduating highschool and the L.P.N. program at B.O.C.E.S, she attended SUNY Canton obtaining her A.A.S in Nursing. As a Registered Nurse she worked in various cities across the U.S. in medical , neurological, orthopedic, pediatric and emergency services, to name a few. After traveling for several years gaining valuable experience over more than a decade, she returned to Northern NY and completed her Bachelor's degree in Nursing through Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT. In 2016 she graduated Magna Cumme Laude from Upstate Medical University as a Family Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, later becoming board certified through the ANCC. Immediately following in 2018 she completed her doctoral degree, also in Nursing and psychiatry through Upstate Medical. Her work experience includes but is not limited to inpatient, and outpatient psychiatric treatment, crisis stabilization, community mental health, tribal mental health, substance abuse treatment, telehealth services and extensive work with the military community to include treatment of adults and children. She strongly believes in a patient centered care approach and has a passion in caring for the community members of the north country, optimizing their access and mental health treatment outcomes.

My name is Danielle Barnes and I am a dedicated healthcare professional with experience in medical reception across Orthopedics, Urology, and Cardiology. As a military spouse, my healthcare career began in Alaska, where I developed a strong foundation in patient care, communication, scheduling, and supporting both patients and clinical teams.
I am excited to bring my experience into the mental health field and continue growing professionally while making a positive difference in the lives of the patients and families I serve. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and contributing to a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Ella Malone has a background in emergency medical services, having served as a volunteer EMT for six years. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she attended paramedic school, gaining valuable training and experience during a challenging period in modern healthcare. Her dedication to medicine reflects her passion for helping others and serving her community. In addition to her medical training, she has completed college coursework at Houghton College, Herkimer Community College, and Jefferson Community College (JCC).
